Bright and summery manis, fabulous brow shaping and yummy treats? Sign me up! It was a day of pampering when I was invited to the #OnTheGoBeauty event on the rooftop of the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills. It was also the perfect opportunity to spend some time (and no money!) with one of my out-of-town friends who was ready for a little R&R and a whole lot of fun.

Forgive the name... it's actually really good. Feed Body & Soul restaurant on Abbot Kinney is all about making healthy food flavorful. It's low fat, has no butter, no refined or even cane sugar, no white flour, virtually no dairy except for one dish that has a yogurt sauce on the side and lots of gluten-free stuff along with 100% organic cocktails!

Wanna shop til you drop, enjoy tasty eats from food trucks and support local businesses all at the same time? Look no further than the Silver Lake Art, Craft & Vintage, a hodgepodge of vendors selling this and that for those seeking a muuuuch smaller alternative to the gigantic Rose Bowl flea market. Aaaaand... they have a special truck just in time for Mother's Day!

OOOOOMMMMGGGGGGG I HAVE OFFICIALLY ARRIVED!!!!! I was spoofed on the latest episode of "The Soup" on E! thanks to my recent visit to the Colburn School of Music in Downtown LA. Who knew that my plans for a high-brow excursion to this renowned institution would end up as fodder for one of my favorite shows of all time??!!

Looking for a cool bar where you can have ridiculously good food? I found just the place. It's the Corner Door on Washington Boulevard in Culver City, which is really the new Restaurant Row thanks to this place along with Waterloo & City and A-Frame. (Although admittedly W&C is kinda hit and miss.) I wasn't expecting too much when I first decided to check it out because, let's be honest, the Corner Door sounds like just another gastropub. But I have no problem admitting I was wrong. This place rocks!
