Looking for an artful meal experience? On Monday, April 25 & Monday, May 2, Ray’s & Stark Bar, the new mid-century modern dining spot at LACMA (think Herman Miller, Eero Saarinen and Harry Bertoia), is where you can order from a special $10-per-course menu to sample chef Kris Morningstar’s latest Mediterranean inspirations. Naturally, the adjoining Stark Bar is where you can also try Michel Dozois’s seasonal cocktails that often pay homage to the establishment’s namesake, Hollywood producer Ray Stark. There’s free corkage on the first bottle of wine ($15 thereafter) and free parking in the LACMA parking lot off 6th Street starting at 7pm. Even better, if you’re an LA resident, take advantage of the “free after 5pm” museum admission for a little postprandial art walk. It’ll all look more interesting after a couple of drinks, anyway.
Monday, April 25 & Monday, May 2, 5pm-10pm @ Ray’s & Stark Bar, LACMA, 5905 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036.
Note: All parties at the table must participate in the $10 per course menu with a three-course minimum.
