Kick your feet up and shout “Opa!” ’cause the annual Taste of Greece festival is back in Orange County and MARPOP readers are invited–for FREE!
Going on from Friday, June 24 to Sunday, June 26, the annual three-day celebration expects more than 11,000 revelers to get their fill of traditional Greek dishes–everything from chicken and lamb chops to spanakopita and saganaki (aka flaming cheese)–delicious homemade pastries and tons of drinks including a Greek coffeehouse and a wine taverna brimming with Greek beer and wine.
There will also be a full-scale carnival, games, lots of live music, Greek dance performances as well as lessons, and numerous boutique booths reminiscent of the Plaka, the picturesque historical Athens neighborhood. You can also enter to win prizes including a seven-day trip for two to Athens, Greece, a 47-inch HD TV, Dell laptop computer or $500 cold hard cash.
Get a sneak preview of the event on my Weekend Roundup on Fox 11′s “Good Day LA” this Thursday, June 23 @ 9am!
Friday, June 24 – Sunday, June 26 @ St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church, 4949 Alton Parkway, Irvine, CA 92604
