AC/DC said it best: For those about to rock, we salute you! And there’s gonna be plenty of rocking, saluting and shaking all night long on Saturday, July 9, when seven tribute bands–including AC/DC clones Bon Johnson–take the stage to celebrate and welcome back veterans of the US armed forces.
The all-day, all-ages Welcome Home Veterans Concert & Festival starts at noon with a classic car and motorcycle show, food booths and exhibitions from various veterans organizations. At 4pm, Operation Rolling Thunder begins as the tribute bands take the stage for full concert experiences including Led Zeppelin by Led Zepplica, Rolling Stones by Jumping Jack Flash, Queen by Queen Nation, Aerosmith by Aeromyth (love these guys–the singer looks more like Steven Tyler than Steven Tyler!), Metallica by Damage Inc, ZZ Top by La Grange and AC/DC by Bon Johnson. It’s the next best thing to the real thing for a real-deal cause.
Saturday, July 9, 12pm-12am @ 1744 Parade Grounds, San Bernardino, CA 92411. Tickets $20 (pre-sale) or $25 (at the door).
