Break out the feathers and steel drums because it’s time to celebrate Carnival… Caribbean style!!! June is National Caribbean-American Heritage Month and we have Success Steel and gorgeous Carnival dancers performing at our studio to kick off the festivities including the Caribbean Heritage Gala on Friday, June 19 at the Hilton in Universal City, and the fabulous Los Angeles Culture Festival & Parade along Hollywood Boulevard on Saturday, June 27 from 11am-10pm. (I was actually the Grand Marshal a couple years ago – cray!) Everyone is invited to these events where partygoers of all backgrounds and ages can celebrate the food, art, music and many contributions of the Caribbean culture! And now that summer is here there’s so much fun to have in Anaheim — and I’m not just talking theme parks. Orange County’s first and only SwingIt Flying Trapeze & Circus School is where you (or your kids) can take flying trapeze classes with no experience necessary. You can also learn how to perform on aerial silks and take hammock or hoop classes, which aren’t only fun, but they increase strength, coordination and flexibility.
