Think global, shop local. That’s the overriding theme of the Indagare Souk, an all-day pop-up shop that’s coming to LA on April 12 and 13 at The Peninsula Beverly Hills. The souk promises one-of-a-kind items from around the world and, even better, the sales support businesses that are giving back or building sustainable business in local communities.
So what can you expect? Au Fil d’Or cashmere jackets from Morocco; Same Sky glass beaded bracelets, which employs Rwandan women and donates at least 50% of all proceeds to support their community; Shompole gold, bone and gemstone jewelry from Kenya, which is all made in Africa by local artisans; Three Island Lifestyle hand-stamped batik from Bali; Eric Raisina fashions, which employs local women to stitch silk scarves and clothes; and many other designers and artisans who will be on site talking about their products and processes.
Wednesday, April 13th & Thursday, April 14th, 10am-8pm @ The Peninsula, 9882 South Santa Monica Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90212.
