What does legendary Stray Cats bassist Lee Rocker have in common with the world’s wackiest internet food? My Marpop Weekend Roundup, of course! It’s another fun weekend in Southern California and per uszh, I have the lowdown and what you need to eat, see and hear!
It’s time to rock this town, rock it inside out with legendary Stray Cats bassist Lee Rocker! When I found out that he was going to be performing at the 7th annual Pechanga Microbrew Festival on Saturday, June 6, benefiting Habitat for Humanity, I knew I had to have him on the show. I remember listening to his band’s music as a kid and it brought back fun memories watching him perform live all these years later.
This weekend (June 5-7) also brings the amaze OC Night Market, a wild food extravaganza with some never-before-seen edibles! I couldn’t get over the Tokyo-inspired Japadog hot dogs topped with things like nori and bonito flakes or the Ramen Donuts that are soaked in horchata (!!!). The event is also where you can try Spanimal Fries (yes, that’s Spam fries) and UniqCone, a unique soft-serve ice cream that’s served in a gluten-free horn-shaped cone. Of course, there was NOTHING I could eat since everything was dripping with dairy and animal ingredients! Still, it’s worth checking out the event even if just to see all the madness!
