Stories 15 Oct 2013 Mar Yvette

I can't believe my job today was to be absolutely TERRIFIED! It all started out so fun and easy hanging out with Goofy and the Evil Queen, but then I boarded the The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror - ZOMG! I am traumatized for the rest of the Halloween season. Go on that ride at your own risk.

(Falling) On the Ice with the Anaheim Ducks!

Stories 11 Oct 2013 Mar Yvette

What the puck?! LA is in the middle of major Dodger fever, but Orange County is amped up for the new ice hockey season with the Anaheim Ducks. I got my own personal slapshot lesson with #44 Sheldon Souray and despite what my co-workers said, I did not fall on purpose just so he could pick me up. (Although it wasn't a bad way to get back on my feet!)

Pardon me, but it's getting a little hot out here.

Marpop in the Mud!!!

Stories 9 Oct 2013 Mar Yvette

I spent a very cold, very early morning checking out just a few of the obstacles at the annual Gladiator Rock'n Run .... all I can say is, these people are crazy! The mud was freezing and goopy and grainy but oddly soothing. I was assured it was the cleanest dirt around, so at least we got the first run through it. Even so, next time I do mud it'll probably be a spa treatment.

Princesses & Ghosts on the Queen Mary

Stories 8 Oct 2013 Mar Yvette

Did you know that Princess Diana was the first Royal to auction off her clothes for charity? She also wasn't afraid to wear the same gown twice ... or thrice. LOVE that about her! About a month before she died, she auctioned off a number of her dresses and those same dresses are now aboard the Queen Mary ... along with a few otherworldly elements.

Twerking with Casper Smart

Stories 3 Oct 2013 Mar Yvette

OK, so there wasn't any twerking going on (at least not on camera), but I did have a great time when Casper Smart and J.Lo's Dancers performed on my Weekend Roundup to promote their brand-new reality show "A Step Away." Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect, but when Casper electric wormed his way onto the CONCRETE floor, I was totally wowed.

Not surprisingly, pit bulls and chihuahuas are the dogs in most abundance, so Cesar walked us through properly assessing dog behavior and how to be a responsible pet owner.
