World’s Largest Sumo, Spartan Obstacles & UFC Champion

Let’s get ready to ruuuuuumble!!! There’s no reason to wait until the New Year to start thinking about your health … here are my top three ideas for you now:

1. Get up off the couch and check out the Reebok Spartan Race this weekend at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. The 3+ mile race features more than 15 obstacles and is open for all ages, all sizes and all fitness levels. The goal is simple … to get you up on your feet, throw you in the mud and challenge you with a day that will be the adrenalin rush of your life!

2. Speaking of an adrenalin rush, OMG!! If you really want to eat and drink like a champion, you gotta check out Ze/Lin Organic Juice & Fusion Cafe in Beverly Hills. Three-time UFC champion Rich Franklin just opened this place (btw he’s soooo nice, you’d never guess he was such a fierce fighter!!!) and not only does he offer organic cold-press juices and smoothies but he has a KILLER wheatgrass shot with cayenne and ginger – WOW!!! I tried this on the air and just like Rich said, it totally made my throat pucker – it was like my esophagus was on fire!!! But just for a few seconds – it actually gave me such an energy boost that I wanted to do another shot right after! Crazy!

3. Last but not least … I brought back sumo champ Yama (the heaviest Japanese human being in history at 600 lbs!!) to the studio because 1) I’m just obsessed with sumo wrestlers 2) the last time I invited Yama to the studio the segment was canceled due to Michael Jackson’s funeral 3) Yama and fellow sumo champ Byamba just competed to see who could set the record for most Yoshinoya beef bowls consumed in 15 minutes (Yama won at 7 beef bowls) and 4) I wanted to help Yama work off all those beef bowls by getting in on the obstacle course action! You can actually meet Yama and other sumos this weekend in Van Nuys – go to www.usasumo.com for all the info.
