Colburn School of Music
This morning I got to hang out with some INCREDIBLY TALENTED kids at the Colburn School in DTLA. I was amazed by 18-yr-old flutist & dancer Riria Niimura who moved here from Japan. Not only does she play the most beautiful classical pieces, she also designs her own clothes & plays Lady Gaga on the flute while dancing and contorting! And then there’s the adorable 13-yr-old Nick Mendez, originally from Puerto Rico, who plays the piano with the talent of a pro. His dream is to play Walt Disney Concert Hall one day. I have no doubt these two will make their dreams come true!
