OMG, Duckie Goes Downtown!
Don’t you forget about me … can you believe it’s been 25 years since Duckie, Andie, and Blaine first lit up the screen in all their teenage angsty glory?? (How much did you hate James Spader’s character?!) Thanks to the Los Angeles Film Festival, you can relive the exquisite adolescent pain at the free outdoor screening of “Pretty in Pink” in honor of the film’s 25th anniversary and to celebrate the Festival’s launch. Director Howard Deutch and Jon Cryer will be among the special guests, there’ll be a Pink Beer & Wine Garden, AND if you arrive in your best 80s getup, you’ll get two vouchers to the LA Film Festival. (Which basically means you can just wear your usual post-80s retro ensemble, you damn hipster.)
Tuesday, May 3 @ Nokia Plaza LA Live. Pink Beer & Wine Garden opens at 5pm, film begins at 7pm.
Los Angeles Film Festival runs Thursday, June 16 – Sunday June 26.
