For the Record: Quentin Tarantino
Even if you’ve seen every Quentin Tarantino movie a dozen times, chances are you’ve never seen them this close up and personal. That’s because For the Record–LA’s favorite musical troupe that takes on some of the coolest movie soundtracks and translates them into full-on interactive experiences–is about to get all Tarantino about it now through November 12.
“For The Record: Tarantino In Concert” spans 25 years of the director’s films and soundtracks with songs from Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Four Rooms, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2, Death Proof and Inglourious Basterds. The show is a multi-sensory mashup of colorful costumes, Broadway singers and dancing on the ceiling. Well, almost … the cast is known to dance on the bar. (And for this show, you’ll be expected to do the twist with Vincent and Mia.)
The action takes place at Barre Vermont, a cabaret-style venue inside Vermont Restaurant/Rockwell in Los Feliz, which is great, ’cause you can order food and drinks while enjoying the show. Don’t be surprised if Mr. Pink ends up being your server.
Wednesday, October 5 – Saturday, November 12 @ Barre Vermont, 1714 N Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027. Tickets $40 + food and drinks.
