Catch Wrestling & The Syncopated Ladies
Head locks, half nelsons and neck cranks, oh my!!! I did it all (well, kinda) for the first time when I hit the mat with pro wrestlers from around the world (there were guys from the Snake Pit in England where catch wrestling actually originated) to promote the Catch Wrestling Alliance International Invitational–USA vs The World–at UCLA’s Wooden Center. It’s the first time in 100 years that this is happening in the United States!
OMG after just a few minutes of ‘training’ with these people I have a totally newfound respect for the sport. And speaking of sport, I also had the incredibly athletic and talented Chloe Arnold’s Syncopated Ladies from this season of “So You Think You Can Dance.” They’re the first all-female tap crew who have worked with everyone from Mya to Beyonce and you can take their LA Tap Camp from July 12 to July 14.
