Burlesque Mondays on Main St

Need to add a little shimmy to your Monday night? Basement Tavern’s got you covered with semi-covered burlesque babes, specially priced booze and femme-fronted band Behind the Six. Every Monday night from 9pm to midnight, the subterranean speakeasy beneath the Victorian house on Main Street is when you can enjoy the sultry sounds of a bygone era, be entertained with shiny eye candy and get your paws on $10 specialty cocktails like the Strawberry Moon, Sazerac and Absinthe Fairy (think Pernod Absinthe, jasmine, orchard oil and citrus) as well as $7 shots of Moonshine, Pernod Absinthe, Jameson and Fireball Whiskey. As for getting your paws on other stuff … not so fast, buddy. You can look, just don’t touch.

FYI: Monday Nickel Night for locals is still going on at Basement Tavern–just show a valid ID with any Santa Monica or Venice zip code and you’ll get a wooden nickel redeemable for a 5¢ beer or cocktail. Cheers!
