FOX GIVES: Project Backpack
It was the first day of school and I joined Fox Gives at West Vernon Elementary in South LA to celebrate with Project Backpack, providing backpacks and school supplies to more than 750 children. I loved meeting the adorable kids and hearing about their summer vacation and favorite subjects. I also had the chance to meet one special little girl, Carly, who proudly declared she was 5 1/3 years old. (So cute!)
Everything from the tiny classroom chairs (where I took a donut break) to the smell of crayons reminded me of being a kid again and how BIG it all seemed to me back then. Speaking of big, Clifford the Big Red Dog and Hello Kitty also made an appearance to make sure it was one happy start to the school year. Can’t wait for the next Fox Gives event!
