Girls Night In with Maria Menounos

It was “Girls Night In” at an ultra-shmancy house in Beverly Hills with Maria Menounos, the gorgeous, down-to-earth TV host. She was totally fab (and totally THIN!) and was sharing her entertaining tips while promoting the new California Pizza Kitchen frozen pizzas. Along with the cheesy snacks, there was a DIY mini-cupcake bar (with black frosting!), mani stations (I broke away from my usual nude shade and went RED!), massage stations and plenty of cocktails. Of course, I just did water … both to drink and for a little outdoor splash. Well, sort of. Check out the pix and you’ll see what I mean!

So tell me Maria, any words of inspiration or wisdom for those who want to succeed?
You know, you probably think you’re working hard… work a hundred times harder. If you really think you’re gonna make it and really, really make it the way you want to make it in your mind, really dare to dream and go after it. Cos it’s scary for people and that’s what holds them back. I have a great quote from a wrestler that I’m friends with, he said ‘You’ll never lose unless you quit.’ I know–and I knew–that I would never lose unless I quit.

And the other thing is always have class. It’s what’s saved me and allowed me to play all these different roles at once–reporting for nightly news and starring in a movie. That has never happened before. But because I’ve carried myself in a certain way, and I’m very respectful of those positions… you know, like magazines wanted to put me on the cover with bikinis and I was like no, I can’t do that stuff. So you have to carry yourself with a certain …
