Happy Halloween: I Was a Fancy Taco & Stan Lee Loved It!

What better way to kick off Halloween than with the one & only Stan Lee?!!! The comic book icon loved my taco costume (he was especially diggin’ the ‘stache) and said maybe I’ll be his next superhero: Taco Girl! I also had the Headless Horseman from “Sleepy Hollow” stop by, which was great because he was the perfect footman for my sweet ride: a bedazzled motorcycle-drawn chariot from 7 Wheel Wonders. (I think I’m gonna need one of these for my next birthday.)

Of course, the taco costume and sombrero weren’t enough, so I brought in Chef Robert Luna from Malo Restaurant in Silver Lake and Mas Malo in Downtown LA for some Dia De Los Muertos action. Homeboy knocked it out with creative twists on traditional Mexican favorites like pumpkin flower soft tacos, champurrado, the cutest pan de muerto I’ve ever seen and pumpkin enchiladas with kale and white chocolate mole (!!!).

To close out the show, Guns N’ Hoses rocked out with their rendition of “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” You can see this NYC all-female tribute to GNR on Sunday, November 3 at the Viper Room. Welcome to the jungle!

Special thanks to Spirit Halloween who provided my costume, which was a big hit. I mean, who doesn’t love a taco?!
