Hanging with Zeus the Owl & Denise Austin

He’s the latest big internet sensation, but Zeus the Owl is just a little screech owl whose unique eyes look like they constellations in them. His starry-eyed look stems from the fact that he’s blind, but even though he can’t see, he is otherwise healthy and happy. He lives right here in the Los Angeles area at the Wildlife Learning Center in Sylmar and you can visit him along with so many other incredible rescued wild animals including monkeys, foxes, porcupines, kinkajou, lynx, two-toed sloth and so many more. Love this place!

Speaking of love … today was my first time meeting legendary fitness guru Denise Austin and I instantly fell in love with her. She is the absolute sweetest, most hilarious and energetic person EVER (her daughter Katie is great, too) and now she has a new 10-Week 360° Plan that aims to get you in shape in just 10 weeks … and it’s online!

I also wanted to share with everyone about Kye’s Santa Monica, a new cafe that serves up healthy food that actually tastes great. Owner Jeanne Cheng was inspired to create a menu that would cater to those who have multiple food allergies like her son Kye. Everything is naturally gluten-free, easily made vegan or Paleo and the KyeRito is really the piece de resistance — a healthy hybrid of a wrap/roll/burrito with a patented slip-wrap technique. It’s fun to eat, tastes great and good for you!

Yeah, I would just like to say that I had read that Denise Austin was quoted in the Washington City Paper saying she was upset over lewd comments made about past clips on YouTube. According to the Washington DC weekly newspaper, Denise giggled when someone asked if she was aware that she’s become the object of so much perversion and said, “Now I’m worried!” She also said that she was totally unaware of it (yeah right!). I wonder if she has ever read any of the comments and giggled. Look up “Denise Austin Gets Indecent Exposure” to read the article.
