Summer Fun at Knott’s Berry Farm

What’s new this summer at Knott’s Berry Farm? Lots! My favorite theme park has expanded its Boardwalk area with three rides that are just my speed. Translation: No crazy loops or stomach-dropping dips. I was excited to check out the new shows and take a couple of spins on the Coast Rider, the new family ride that only goes 37 mph, but still has a few turns and drops that make it exciting enough.

Also making its summer debut is the “Snoopy…Unleashed!” ice show at the Charles Schulz Theatre. This cool show (literally; it’s on ice) follows Snoopy as he lives it up with the Peanuts characters, pro ice skaters and a live drum corps. There’s also “Boom Town,” a Western-style cirque experience with acrobats and contortionists. And then there’s “Dancin’ to the Beat,” which is like a traveling troupe with breakers, poppers, lockers, krumpers and drummers. The best part is that you can get a year pass for 2013 for $88 and single-day tix for $37 if you get them online three days in advance. See you there!
